Married for nearly twenty years, Reen and Linda Waterman live in Chattanooga, Tennessee. More than anything else, they love inspiring, encouraging, and helping others to live a John 10:10 life, "I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)" through writing, speaking, life coaching, training, and leading small groups.

To better guide people into deeper faith, Reen and Linda joined the Navigators in September of 2021. They raise their monthly support through the faithful monthly financial sponsorship of people who believe in their mission, vision, and passion allowing the Watermans to be in full-time ministry. While you may not be able to go into full-time ministry yourself, your financial and prayer support as one of the Waterman's faithful ministry partners (and this truly is a mutually rewarding partnership!) allows them to minister to a world that deeply needs the love of God lived out in practical ways.
The Navigators offers several different missions in which people can invest themselves. For the Watermans, the specific mission where they feel deeply called is the Navigators Neighbors Ministry. With the world so segmented and isolated, this ministry helps people reach out across the street, city, state, and world to share the love of Christ in significant ways with many people who struggle with isolation, loneliness, and despair. Many people find faith to be an alien concept, but the Watermans develop intentional relationships while conversationally and anecdotally sharing the incredible difference faith in God makes in their lives.
The Neighbors mission deeply resonates with the Watermans, who can provide personal outreach, comfort, and connection to those who may not attend church. In a nation torn by division and political upheaval, where depression, opioid addictions, alcoholism, divorce, and suicide are rampant, Reen and Linda can bring hope, help, and encouragement to those who may not know where or how to find peace for the soul. Additionally, Reen and Linda are excited to empower, train, and help other Christians across the nation and around the world to reach their own neighborhoods, tribes, offices, and churches.
Having met at a Christian writer's conference (where Linda was a featured speaker and Reen was a first-time attendee) they were drawn together by their deep, abiding faith and shared love of communicating in writing and speaking. Reen and Linda love spending evenings watching their favorite television word game, Wheel of Fortune, and enjoying Hallmark movies. They are competitive when it comes to their 2–3 hour marathon Super Scrabble games. Their favorite date night involves a delicious meal, time spent perusing books and magazines in Barnes and Noble, and catching a great movie. (Of course...topping this off with some ice cream completes the perfect outing!)
Linda’s deeply rooted passion is for speaking to, teaching, and coaching women individually, in groups, and now (thanks to Covid) virtually through Zoom meetings. With her B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies and master’s degree in Journalism/Communications, Linda’s 20+ years of sharing tips and strategies for experiencing life’s purpose and passion found in Jesus at women's conferences and retreats is her greatest joy. Linda is a sought-after speaker and women's ministry consultant. The author of more than twenty books and Bible studies, three of her award-winning books include Resource Guide for Women's Ministry, Dancing in the Storm: Successfully Embracing Change, and Investing Your Life in Things that Matter.
Reen’s background involves over thirty years in real estate as a salesperson, broker, and co-owner of two real estate companies. The entire time Reen was active in real estate he engaged in marketplace ministry, sharing the encouragement of his faith with people who might not attend church. In 2002, he earned his master's degree in Counseling and Discipleship from Capital Bible Seminary.
Reen is an avid outdoorsman, writer, pastor, and speaker who merges his passion for God and the outdoors with his faith to entertain, inspire, and engage men's groups, church men's ministries, and various outreaches.
