Every Navigator’s passion is to help others to know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same®. 

Rick and Debbie have done this for more than 40 years, first in their graduate student housing at the University of Maryland and then in their Columbia, Maryland, neighborhood. Returning to College Park, they ministered to mostly Asians, then to 20 somethings in Arlington, Virginia. In 1990, God moved them into a mostly African-American neighborhood in Washington, D.C., where they have learned what it means to minister cross-culturally outside and inside their rowhouse. In 1993, they added a boy from the neighborhood to their three birth children and in 1998, his seven month old brother.  These five children, as well as all their neighbors and friends in the city have given Rick and Debbie a passion to see laborers raised up in all ethnicities of the U.S. While continuing their neighborhood ministry in D.C., Rick and Debbie are now on the Cultural Journey Team in Train, Develop, Care (TDC). They long to see every tongue, tribe and nation making disciples in the Navigators and the Body of Christ so that we all see the church on earth as it will be in heaven.
