God grew my heart to go to the nations during my time at the University of California, San Diego and has shown me the value in surrendering my plans to him. When I heard about the specific needs of the students in New Zealand, I thought about how much it related to my story and how God has worked in my life. I knew that God would be able to use my life and my story to impact students in New Zealand which led me to lay down my plans and say yes to the call to go. I currently serve at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand and I have loved walking alongside students as they grasp who Jesus is, getting to see them grow step by step. I have seen God answer my prayer of coming alongside students where they’re at emotionally and spiritually, creating a space for them to share vulnerably and process what they are going through, and seeing the Gospel bring transformation to their lives. It is an honor to be a part of building God’s kingdom here in New Zealand with the hope of seeing lasting generations of disciple-makers raised up to impact families, communities and nations through the Gospel!
