After serving with The Navigators on college campuses in the US, God led us to move to Sendai, Japan. According to Joshua Project, Japanese people represent the second largest unreached people group in the world and less than 1% of the population are believers. God used short-term missions trips to Japan to show us the great need for the gospel in Japan, where the knowledge of God is so scarce.
We are reaching out to and building friendships with Japanese college students here in Sendai, Japan. Through practicing English, reading the Bible, building friendships together, sharing the Gospel, and inviting students into our home, we hope to see many young Japanese people begin to follow Jesus. We also long to see Japanese believers take the Gospel to their families, classmates, friends, workplaces, and beyond!
God has used Isaiah 45:5-6 to capture our hearts for Japan. It says, "I am the LORD and there is no other, besides me there is no God; I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me; I am the LORD, and there is no other."
We have been married since 2016 and have four children: Olivia, Benjamin, Emilia, and Anna.
