Armando Madrid

Armando and his wife Annabell have served with the Navigators for over 40 years. They have three adult daughters and a grandson. Armando's ethnic roots are Mexican-American, Annabell's are New Mexican. They now serve with with the Navigator "Disciplemakers for Life" Mission, as City Director for the Los Angeles area, leading 60 staff to make disciples who make disciples in the greater Los Angeles Area. They also minister with Navigator Church Ministries, raising up disciples and helping churches develop a culture of disciple-making in the Latino communities of Los Angeles. Armando is a certified Navigator Life and Leadership coach.

Armando has served overseas in Argentina in a campus ministry, he served as part of the initiating team that began focused ministry to Latinos in Albuquerque, NM in the 1980's. He served with a team of laborers that opened up the Latino focused work in Los Angeles in 1987. He served in national leadership as Director of Hispanic Ministry in the 1990's. He led a campus ministry at Cal State Los Angeles for seven years. He left the Navigators for four years to serve as the Principal of an inner city Christian school. Since returning to the Navigators in 2014, the Madrid family continues to pour themselves into the Latino community, with a heart for youth and the under-resourced in the city.

John 15:16 is promise that Armando has claimed for many years, "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you."
