Deb Entsminger

Deb is the great, great, great, great granddaughter of a pirate who left a legacy of alcoholism, abuse and adultery. The Lord rescued her from this her first week at the University of Florida when she moved in next door to a bunch of Nav guys who were actively living out a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Truly, she who is forgiven much, loves much! Right from the start Deb had a deep hunger to know God and let His Word dwell in her richly as well as to pass onto others what she's learning. Her life was impacted radically when she was discipled as a college student by a woman on staff with The Navigators. Since then, Deb has been discipling women for the past 40 years.

As the Collegiate Initiatives Director, Deb focuses on identifying evangelism and discipleship challenges then strategically creates materials to help The Navigators better fulfill our calling. She wrote and filmed an online art journaling course to accompany Jerry Bridges' book Who Am I? which has been used for years to train Navigator staff (available for public access at www.learnlivelove4life.com) and writes a blog to help women learn how to disciple at www.theheartofdisciplingwomen.com.

As Jesus' disciple, Deb loves to learn and seeks to follow wherever He leads - which is usually way out of her comfort zone as she is completely deaf. Four years ago the Lord did a miracle restoring her hearing from zero to 95% voice recognition through bilateral cochlear implants! What a mighty God we serve! One of her favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 9:8 as she experiences daily the Lord making His grace abound so she can abound in the good works He has for her to do!

Deb loves sharing the journey with her husband Jim, her life and ministry partner for the past 36 years!
